Our house...

So we got the house we wanted...finally.

I don't care if you're looking for new, or old, or renting, or buying - house shopping is terrible.


In our case we were looking to rent, mostly because moving to a new area and buying a house at the same time didn't sound like the best thing to do in the current market. The problem with renting, however, is that if you've ever looked at rentals before you know that a lot of times all that's regularly availible are the market extremes - way too expensive or just junk.

To make a long story short, after couple of disapointing walkthroughs and nothing less than a stroke of luck, we got a great house. It's never been rented before, has a wonderful yard and deck, and most importantly Jada likes it.

To make things even better, everything we need is literally like a block away. Jada has yet to use a full tank of gas since we got here - that was over a month ago!

Alright...I guess that's it for now. Soon I'll tell you guys about some of the cool stuff we've found to do here.

Dax

We are parents!!!.....of a dog.

Dax was born on June 17, 2008, in Springfield, MO, and came into our home on September 2nd. So far he's has done pretty well. He is a pure-bread German Shepherd Dog, and comes directly from imported German bloodlines. In simple terms, he's the bomb diggity.

Potty training has been successful for the most part, with only a couple of accidents inside (which were our fault). He tries to chew on anything soft, including Jada's feet, but has yet to destroy anything important. As far as activity goes, he really just lays around at our feet or on his pad with a toy stuck in his mouth - not chewing, just in his mouth. I guess it's like his security blanket or something. Cranky time usually begins around 8:30, and Jada doesn't appreciate him so much during that period.

As soon as he gets his last round of vaccinations, we'll be enrolling him in puppy kindergarden so stay tuned!

Hello

Hi everyone! I want to formally welcome you to our new blog. The intent is for this to be a place where our friends and family can come to keep up with where we're at, what we're doing, and the direction we're going. Let me qualify this by saying that Jada and I would still rather have a conversation with any one of you guys over putting some words and pictures on a website, but unfortunately that doesn't or can't always happen. So, until the world is perfect, we hope that this will help fill in the blanks between those times where we can sit and talk.
